For Kids of all ages let me introduce you to the cast of characters at Quillisascut Farm.
This Araucana chick looks like an owlet. Guess what we named her? Araucana is a breed of chicken that lays eggs with light green, blue or pink shells! Some people call it the Easter egg chicken.
(PS. We call her Owlet)

A family of Wren’s built their nest of sticks in this cap that was hanging on a hook outside the door of the school. Obviously, like all who attend Quillisascut it is all about food. Don’t they look hungry?

June 14th is the birthday of the number one Q-kid, Willow, Happy Birthday Willow! Here’s to so many good memories, one of them is Oly the wonder dog!
Rick and Lora Lea are the farmers. They milk goats everyday. You can’t see their faces, but they are smiling.
Libby is a BIG dog with long dreadlocks. She is a Komondor, a breed of livestock guardian dog that originated in Hungary. Her thick hair will protect her if she needs to chase off coyotes. Mostly, she protects Rick and her food dish.

Jet is a Border Collie, a breed of working dogs, who help move (herd) animals around the farm. In this photo she is still a puppy.

Dr. Harold liked to drink milk from the cat dish. He was a Cornish Cross rooster who out grew his feathers and he looked really funky. Our friend Carter gave him the name Doctor Harold, because it sounded like “D-o-ctor Haa-rold” when he crowed. Dr. Harold is no longer with us.
The Great Pompie, wise beyond measure. What do you think she is saying? She was our friend for many years, leaving us with wonderful memories and a few precious kids.
